The art fair is a computer scientist’s dream. Thousands of visitors move through hundreds of galleries, encountering thousands more artists. Every stop, each conversation, each exchange—whether a glance or a sale—is a data point in an otherwise opaque economy. What at first appears as chaos is, in fact, an elegantly engineered feedback system: a dense mesh of transactions, inquiries, and reactions.
